Wallace Devine is an architectural designer and project manager with 16+ years of experience in high-end residential design and over 44 years in the AEC field. He holds a Master of Architecture with complimentary degrees and experience in Construction Management and Structural Engineering. Wallace is proficient with BIM software including AutoCad, Revit and Sketchup and familiar with international and local building codes, LEED standards, historic preservation, and critical area management. Wallace also has extensive travel experience and is fluent in Spanish with exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Wallace is registered with NCARB and has received commendations and awards from US and foreign organizations including Who's Who Among Students. Wallace enjoys photography, music and travel and spending free time on camping, hiking and beach trips with his wife, Marlene, and their three children.
EXPERIENCE
Architecture
Designs and manages high-end residential projects for an award-winning design firm. Noted for successful coordination and communications with    other building professional that keep projects moving from conception through construction. Some of his duties include:
• Develops programs and conceptual designs with clients including 3D renderings and presentation drawings. 
• Oversees and produces full construction drawings for permitting, bidding and construction. 
• Coordinates structural, mechanical, electrical and other building systems with respective consultants and suppliers into design drawings and during construction. 
• Researches and applies local and national building codes including the 2015 IRC, IBC and IEEC, as well as local zoning, historic preservation and critical water area ordinances and regulations. 
• Leads designs of Net Zero projects that follow LEED and other Green Building Standards for government projects. 
• Performs construction administration that includes responding to RFI’s through reviewing and approving shop drawings, producing clarification sketches, and conducting site visits to review construction progress, verify payment requests and monitor design details and intent.
Engineering and Construction 
Managed oceanographic projects worldwide aboard US research ships and from bases in Latin America and Korea as regional coordinator for joint projects with guest countries. Work included training and supervising up to 50 scientists, travel throughout the regions, meetings with public and private officials and permanent residency in those locations. Held numerous construction positions over lifetime with family home building business. As structures teaching assistant worked with students to improve integration of engineering with architectural designs.
